Wonderwall
Well ... this is a picture of my wall! Tahtah!
The world map that featured on my hall room's wall did not make it to the wall at all. It was too big, and not of very high aesthetic value =P
The 4 'paintings' lining from top to bottom on the right forms a series of the sceneries of 大理, namely; 风、花、雪、月. I was so smittened by that series but I resisted buying the first set which I had set my eyes on. It was twice the size, and painfully hard to bring it back to SG. So after a very very very long consideration, I didn't buy it. But we managed to see similar stuff in other shops and also these smaller ones which I eventually bought. I just loved the colors, and I wanted to make up for the 'dui-ness' for missing out on the art work that held my heart captive.
Then the light brown square frame holds a drawing by a HK artist, of his interpretation of the Victoria Harbour scene. I bought it at Stanley Market (赤柱) many years back during a trip to Hong Kong. It was my first overseas trip, first time planned by myself, first time funded by my own money saved from temp-ing, and first time without my parents going as well.
The biggest item on the wall is the only thing I made myself. I collected the liquor labels of the beers I've drank while I was in China. It wasn't all beer labels; there was also a korean soju which I totally love. Everytime (ok ... only thrice) I drank it, I was always very happy. It reminded me of the good times I had in Beijing. The labels weren't exhausive, but very representative, usually of sentimental values. Tsingdao wasn't on it, coz I have never succeeded in tearing them off the bottle ... and the only one that succeeded .. was slot in the photo album and only discovered after I completed the art work.
In case you are wondering, right below the picture where it ends, is my bed.
