Moving house
Dear friends, in case you've yet to hear of the reason why I am shifting the blog to where you are reading this now, here's why.I was invited to a job interview, together with another nus undergrad. The invite did not hide the receipients of the email, and hence I knew there was at least this other person, who turned out to be this nus guy. Let's not discriminate nus by keep calling him the nus guy, we shall call him 'sicko' instead.
What happened was, sicko managed to get hold of my full name from the email. I did saw his name as well, but I just ignored it. Of coz there are bound to be 'competition' if it is an open recruitment exercise, right? So as per interview norm, I turned up at the place slightly early, and sicko is already there before. I am 30 minutes early, so he must have been there even earlier. Btw, i noticed he wore white socks ... quite an ugly sight when you wear formal.
Anyway, sicko struck up a conversation with me and of coz we talked. Then the sick part came when he said that he googled my name. I was stunned lah ... I mean if the potential employers said they googled me I would feel uncomfortable but wouldn't feel that shocked coz i have heard of it happening in the states before. But a fellow interviewee doing it ... is plain paranoid and totally uncalled for lah. Furthurmore, he did get some information online of me and found that I had a flickr site. Fair enough. But sicko said a scary thing; he said that between him and me, we are only seperated by 3 degrees.
It is wierd and scary lah ... when a 'competitor' tries to find out more about me. And maybe one day, things I have written or what may be used to discriminate against me. What if sicko is really sick and do something bad to me? I am not that zai for him to pick me off the face of the earth but who knows? He's sick.
That's it. I am moving my blog. I won't make it easy for him.

haha..yesh, i will have to agree with you that the guy is some crazy dude or someone who has too much free time on his hand. Scary... I have read many stories about bloggers. I remember the recent incident of the 'elitist' ger in Singapore? Remember reading about young teenage gers writing about their entire personal life in their blog, and when their parents found out all the intimate details of their lives, they were all shocked. I think alot of bloggers forget that their post is on the internet, and there is no restriction whatsoever for people to snoop around and read abt u.
But still, keep writing... cos i am just happi to be a reader, haha...
